A heat exchanger is designed or selected specifically for a particular application. Over the years many suppliers are no longer manufacturing heat exchangers or have changed their company name making the replacement of an existing heat exchanger difficult.

In many cases heat exchangers are incorporated with other process systems such as; oil coolers, aftercoolers on a compressor, or steam coils in a dryer. Often the equipment is manufactured overseas and the heat exchangers were not manufactured in North America. Replacement of this equipment can be difficult, expensive and time consuming. Given performance information and dimensional information, an exact duplicate or similar replacement can be provided.
